FOOD DONATION & INITIATIVES

Reinforcing our Commitment

With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies for dealing with this challenge. Here is a list of food donations you can still make while self-isolating:

  • The Daily Bread Food Bank is accepting monetary donations & online food donations from websites such as Amazon

  • Feed it Forward is raising money to open a concession trailer to provide meals to the vulnerable. Donate or volunteer for them!

  • The North York Harvest Food Bank, as most of their fundraisers have been canceled, and community networks have closed their doors. They are seeking donations

  • Sistering is a shelter for marginalized, at-risk women. They accept leftover food donations for their 24/7 drop-in

  • Second Harvest recovers fresh, unused food from restaurants and other establishments to provide to social service organizations and programs.

  • B12GIVE is a delivery app that picks up leftover food from retailers daily and distributes it to those who are insecure.

  • The Good Shepherd offers drop-in meals, medical services, and shelter for insecure people at multiple locations across the city
